Applying to WCU Managed

The 2026 - 2027 Returning Student Housing Application process for WCU Managed Housing:

 

1. OCT 27 – NOV 7, 2025

Complete the WCU Managed Application

Complete the WCU Managed Returning Student Housing Application anytime between Monday, October 27, 12:00pm and  Friday, November 7, 2025, 12:00pm.  Access the WCU Managed application in RamPortal:

    • Log in to RamPortal
    • Click on the Housing and Dining card
    • Click on "Application for On-Campus Living"
    • Select the 2026-2027 Academic Year term session
    • Complete the 2026-2027 WCU Managed Request to House application

If you know of students who you wish to live with next year as roommates, be sure you are applying to the same housing provider.

 

2. BEGINNING OCT 30, 2025

Select your Roommate(s)(optional)

Returning students have the opportunity to select roommate(s) to form a "Roommate Group".  While each WCU Managed Housing Applicant will receive a Housing Selection Timeslot, Roommate Groups may use the earliest timeslot of their Roommate Group to choose housing together. 

Select your roommate(s) and add them to your Roommate Group during Roommate Matching/Grouping which opens on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 12:00pm.  Make sure your desired roommate(s) have completed a WCU Managed Housing Application.  Only those who have done so can be added into a Roommate Group.

If you’re looking for a roommate, you may search for potential roommates via the Roommate Matching/Grouping beginning Thursday, October 20, 2025 at 12:00pm. 

Selecting a roommate is optional. If you do not select or match with a roommate, a roommate(s) will be assigned to you.

Access Roommate Matching/Grouping:   RamPortal -> Housing and Dining card -> Application for On-Campus Living -> 2026-2027 Academic Year

 

3. NOV 24 – 25, 2025

Receive your Housing Selection Timeslot (determined through a lottery process)

By completing the WCU Managed Housing application, you will be entered into the WCU Managed Housing lottery which randomly determines your Housing Selection Timeslot.

The Housing Selection Timeslot is the date and time when you can go into the WCU Managed Housing portal and select the residence hall where you wish to live. 

The earlier your Housing Selection Timeslot, the more options you may have for WCU Managed Housing.  Be sure to set a reminder and calendar alert for the date and time of your Housing Selection Timeslot.

You will receive an email between November 24 – November 25, 2025 with your Housing Selection Timeslot. 

Roommate Groups may utilize the earliest Housing Selection Timeslot of your roommate group.

 

4. DEC 2 – 4, 2025

Select Your Housing during your Housing Selection Timeslot

WCU Managed Housing Selection will take place December 2 – 4, 2025.  During your specific Housing Selection Timeslot, log into RamPortal to select your residence hall.

If you are in a Roommate Group, you can use the earliest Housing Selection Timeslot assigned to any member to choose your housing together.

On-campus housing is in high demand for returning students.  Be sure to select your housing as soon as your timeslot opens and explore all of your housing options, including Off-Campus.

 

5. MID-DECEMBER 2025

Pay the $200 WCU Managed Housing Deposit

Students will not be expected to pay the $200 Housing Deposit until they have secured housing by selecting a WCU Managed residence hall.  More details and a specific due date is forthcoming.

 

6. SUMMER 2026

Select a Meal Plan

Residents living on North Campus in WCU Managed and USH Affiliated are required to have a Meal Plan (Rammy's Plan or the Gold Plan).   Meal Plans are optional for residents living on South Campus in on-campus apartments.

7. AUGUST 2026

Pay your Housing Bill & Move-in

WCU Managed Housing charges will appear on your Fall 2026 Semester Tuition Bill.
