Global Hispanic Film Festival

Welcome to the 8th Annual Global Hispanic Film Festival at WCU - Virtual Edition 2026!

The Global Hispanic Film Festival hosted by West Chester University of Pennsylvania exposes students to a wide range of diverse realities concerning global Hispanic cultures of Latin America, Spain, Africa, and Latinx communities in the United States. All films are subtitled in English. Free and open to the public! Registration is required.

Registration instructions if you are not a student or faculty at WCU (Instrucciones si no eres estudiante ni facultad en WCU):

1. 1. Register as a First Time User and select Guest. (Regístrate como First Time User y selecciona Guest.)
   2. You will receive a code by email from CampusGroups. (Recibirás un código por email de CampusGroups.)
   3. Enter the code then click the green REGISTER button on the registration page. (Pega el número del código y haz clic en el botón verde de REGISTER al entrar a la página de inscripción.)
   4. You will receive a CampusGroups email with the screening link, username, and password. Save this email! (Recibirás un correo electrónico de CampusGroups con el enlace de la plataforma del festival, un nombre de usuario y contraseña. ¡Guarda este email!

Five films address localized and universal themes such as globalization, postcolonialism, social inequality, migration and borders, indigenous cultures, racism, gender, disability, historical memory, activism, joy, and solidarity.

Directed by Dr. Iliana Pagán-Teitelbaum; co-directed by Dr. Tia Malkin-Fontecchio; with Madison Harkness, Graduate Assistant, Assistant Director of Festival Marketing and Outreach; the Latino American Student Organization (LASO), the College of Arts and Humanities (CAH), and the Department of Languages and Cultures at West Chester University.
