Spring 2027

List of Events

Week of Jan 18 – Winter Welcome

Week of Feb 8 – Love is Love Week

The OUTlet

Thinking critically about the intersection of marginalized identity (like queerness) and resource scarcity, the OUTlet aims to distribute resources (free of charge) to queer and trans students that help support their daily lives. Queer and Trans students are often missing family support, in need of specific types of resources to affirm themselves, and are less likely to access them through traditional channels. The goal of this project is not only to foster success for LGBTQIA+ students by fulfilling material needs, but also to create a coalition and awareness across LGBTQIA+ facing entities on campus and in the WCU community.

March 31 – International Transgender Day of Visibility

April 26 – Lesbian Visibility Day

April 28 – Lavender Graduation Celebration

Lavender Graduation celebrates graduating undergraduate and graduate students, who identify as LGBTQIA+, as well as the allies and advocates who support them. We acknowledge their achievements, contributions, and distinctive experiences at West Chester University. For decades, students at colleges and universities have celebrated their achievements at this celebration. Registration is required for this event. All are welcome, come be authentically you.
