SPRING SEMESTER
HOW TO APPLY FOR HOUSING
- The 2026 Spring Semester Housing Application opens on Thursday, October 16, 2025, for students interested in living on campus for the spring semester (January 18, 2026, - May 9, 2026)

Before you apply for spring semester on- campus housing you must:
Be a current West Chester University student who does not currently live on-campus (WCU Managed or USH Affiliated Housing)
or
Be a new first year student or new transfer students (a student beginning classes at WCU in Spring Semester 2025)

STEP 1: Explore the housing style that's right for you: WCU Managed or USH Affiliated
There are two housing providers on WCU's campus: WCU Managed (traditional, community-style living and apartments) and USH Affiliated (suite-style living and apartments).

STEP 2: Apply to a housing provider:
WCU Managed or USH Affiliated
First Year or Transfer Students
How to Access the Application for On-Campus Living
- Log in to RamPortal using your RamNet ID Account (@wcuofpa.edu login and password)
- Click on the "Housing & Dining" card
- Click on "Application for On-Campus Living" at the top of the page and select the Spring Only 2026 term session to apply.
The Application for On-Campus Living includes the following steps:
- Verify Personal Information (name, birthdate, address, etc).
- Emergency Contact Information.
- Complete the On Campus Living Prerequisite Form. This form includes the Housing Eligibility Questionnaire (a state-mandated criminal conduct and disciplinary history screening) and Meningitis Waiver questions.
- Review and accept WCU Community Guidelines.
- Select your housing provider: WCU Managed or USH Affiliated
- If you select WCU Managed, you will continue through the WCU Managed Housing Application
- If you select USH Affiliated, you will be redirected to the USH Affiliated Resident Portal to complete their unique USH Affiliated Housing Lease Process
Returning Students
APPLY TO WCU MANAGED HOUSING:
- Log in to RamPortal
- Click on the Housing & Dining Portal card
- Click on the "Application for On-Campus Living" in the top menu bar
- Select the Spring Only 2026 term session to apply
- Complete the Spring 2026 WCU Managed Housing Application
- Submit the $200 Housing Deposit once a housing assignment has been provided to you
- Questions to be directed to housing@wcupa.edu or 610-436-3307
OR
APPLY TO USH AFFILIATED HOUSING:
- Log in to the USH Resident Portal (new users will need to create a USH account)
- Complete the Spring 2025 USH Housing Application
- Submit the $200 non-refundable application fee (required to finalize application)
- Wait for email from leasing@ushcommunities.org to proceed with your application
- Questions to be directed to leasing@ushcommunites.org or 610-430-4988

STEP 3: Check your WCU Email Often
WCU Managed Housing and USH Affiliated Housing will communicate important dates and information via your WCU Email (@wcupa.edu)
