Bio

Dr. Lesley Siegel earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction with a cognate in Disability Studies at the University of Denver and her M.A in Special Education with a focus on culturally and linguistically diverse exceptional learners at the University of New Mexico. Prior to joining the faculty at West Chester University, Siegel was an Assistant Professor at Arcadia University; teaching faculty and director of Special Education at the Teacher Institute at the University of Colorado, Denver; and coordinator of Special Education Assessment and Accountability at the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. She began her career as a middle school special education teacher, working with students with disabilities in New Mexico, Washington, and Colorado.
