Giving to Student Affairs
The Division of Student Affairs aspires to support a campus community where students build healthy personal and professional connections, develop a sense of belonging, and engage thoughtfully with others.
Funding Priorities

Student Engagement
Students who are meaningfully engaged in college life are more likely to be satisfied with their college experience, have enhanced cognitive and personal growth and career readiness, and persist to graduation. Giving to Student Engagement would support:
- Student organization engagement
- Leadership programs
- Fraternity and Sorority Life
- Paraprofessional training and development (e.g., Resident Assistants, Leadership Consultants, Peer Educators, Graduate Assistants)

Student Experience
Participation in student traditions fosters a sense of belonging, builds community, and increases student engagement. Fostering this connection and pride is essential for all students—whether they reside on campus, live nearby, or commute from home. Giving to the Student Experience would support:
- Campus traditions (e.g., Welcome Weekend, Homecoming/Family Weekend, Student Activities, Ramboree, athletic event traditions)
- Commuter and off-campus student initiatives
- Living learning and theme communities

Student Health & Well-Being
Students cannot thrive unless they are physically and mentally healthy and their basic needs are met. Unexpected financial challenges—such as car repairs or medical bills—can often become obstacles to their academic success. Giving to Student Health & Well-Being would support:
- A student emergent needs fund
- Wellness promotion and education
- Sports clubs and intramural sports
- Health Center and Counseling Center services
